NICKERSON Jackie Andrew “Capt. Jack”, 66, Port LaTour, Shelburne County went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on January 14, 1949, he was a son of the late Seaton and Deborah (Ross) Nickerson. Jackie was a fisherman all of his life and enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandsons. He loved deer hunting and going with them to the camp and camping at his trailer in Welshtown. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Flotella (Brannen) Nickerson; sons, Andrew (Andrea), Steven, Philip (Melissa); Jacklyn (Jonathan Atkinson); grandchildren, Katiann, Sidney (Shyla), Jackie James, Whitley, Chad, Ashlyn, Alexandra, Christian, Camden, Chelsea; sisters, Leora Messenger, Gertrude (Randolf) Nickerson, Florence Atkinson, Aggie (Jack) Symonds, Janie (Claudie) Brannen; brothers, Terry (Joyce), Garry (Natalie), Robert (Nancy), Joey (Kathryn), Freddie (Dena); a special lady who loved him like a son, “Gladie Williams”. Jackie was predeceased by one sister, and nine brothers. Visitation will be 7-9p.m., Saturday at the H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. Funeral service will be 2p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington Pastor Chris Tedford officiating. Interment will be in the Woodside Cemetery, Port LaTour.
