Stewart graduated from Mount Allison University and Nova Scotia Technical College with a degree in chemical engineering in 1956, and enjoyed a long and successful career with Canadian International Paper and New Brunswick International Paper Co., culminating with his appointment as mill manager in 1981. After retiring from NBIP, Stewart maintained a diverse consulting career.
Stewart cherished his family and took great pride and interest in the activities and accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. An ardent sports fan, Stewart also enjoyed travelling with family and friends, and spending holidays together with loved ones.

The family would like to acknowledge the tremendous care and compassion provided by the staff in the intensive care, medical care, palliative care and discharge planning units of the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
