It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Stiles, age 47, of Springhill. Michael passed away unexpectedly at his home in Springhill on Sunday, November 29, 2015.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of David Stiles of Maccan, and the late Linda (Gould) Stiles.
Mike loved to hunt for treasures in the most unexpected places. He was a talented carpenter, and enjoyed working on old cars. He was a home body, and enjoyed time with his family.
He will be dearly missed by his father, his partner Angie Hunter, Springhill; children Mitchell Lane, Moncton, Kristian Stiles and Noah Stiles at home; step children Daniel Riemersma, at home and Josh (Kirsty) Riemersma, Halifax; brother David (Wendy) Stiles, Toronto, ON; sister Vicky Gould, Windsor, ON; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Linda (Gould) Stiles.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Service, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, December 2 from 2 to 4 pm, followed immediately at 4 pm by the funeral service. Following the funeral, cremation will take place, and the burial will be held at a later date.
