KINGSTON, DERMOT
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Dermot Kingston. He passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2015. Dermot was born in Newcastle, NB on April 2, 1940 to the late Katherine O’Shea and Cornelius Kingston.
Dermot started his career with Forest Protection Limited, from there he moved to Quebec working for Domtar. After a period of time, the family moved back to NB and he started with NB Power, and then worked for Canadian Forestry Service. He loved nature and preferred to be out on a boat or walking through the woods.
Dermot is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia (Guthrie) Kingston, three daughters; Karen Kingston, Stephanie (Chris) Klar and Suzanne Kingston, two sons; Louis (Tammy) Kingston and Jonathan Kingston, five grandchildren; Alexander, Gabriel, Scott, Kennedy and Rylan, three sisters; Katherine Crow, Gertrude Duffie and Suzanne Barry, three brothers Father Cornelius, Dr Mark and Terry, one brother-in-law Douglas (Elizabeth) Guthrie, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers; Fred, Bernard, Leo, Gregory, Father Paul and Father Louis, one sister Joan McCarthy, three brothers-in-law; Tim McCarthy, Darrel Duffie and Murray Crow, two sisters-in-law Betty Kingston and Margaret Kingston.
Memorial Service will be at St. James Catholic church in Sevogle, NB on Wednesday December 9, 2015 at 11am with Father Daniel Melanson officiating. Interment will follow in the St. James Cemetery.
