It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Stanley Pottie on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Pottie.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Donna Pottie, son, Shawn Pottie, brother-in-law, Earl MacDonald, sister-in-law, Evelyn Burke, nephews, J.D., Chris, Matthew, Howard and Nathan MacDonald, great nephew, Jonathan, great niece, Talia; aunts, Jean and Roseanne and many friends.
Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Fred and Adelle Pottie, brother-in-law, Howard MacDonald uncle, Berthrom Pottie, and many family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care, Gladys Lahey and the staff at the Home Support Service for all their care and compassion given to Ray during his illness.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home.
