MARTHA TRITHARDT
Martha Trithardt, born April 7, 1921 on the family farm near Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, passed away in Gravelbourg on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Emil, parents, John and Magdalena Schock, siblings John, Martha, Jacob, Adolph, Edna, Adolph, Hurtha and Gilda, special uncle and aunt, Jacob and Helen Schock, special cousins, Sam and Herman Schock, and her son, Darcy. She is survived by her brother, Milbert Schock, sisters, Irene Schaupp and Mayda Kallis, and special cousin, Tillie Schock. She is also survived by her children, Joan (Dwayne) Ericson, Rodney Trithardt, Henry (Carol) LaRose, Douglas (Trudy) Trithardt, Fairleen Varjassy, Jim (Laurie) Trithardt, Gilbert (Dorothea) Trithardt and Sandra (Jim) Siddons, grandchildren, Laurie Ericson (Mark), Debbie (Dan) Wilchowy, Deniece (Marlin) Reimer, David (Lynda) Ericson, Rachel Trithardt, Craig Trithardt (Tammy), Lisa (Jonathan) Lycklama, Mark (Christine) LaRose, Jackie Ludke, Andy Trithardt, Jason (Candace) Varjassy, Jonathan Varjassy, Daniel (Tiffany) Trithardt, Aubri Trithardt, Cameron Trithardt, Sean Trithardt, Braden Trithardt, Riley Trithardt, Anna (Daniel) Cole, Mark Siddons, Ted Siddons and Perry Siddons and 19 great-grandchildren. After her schooling, Martha worked for a short period in Regina before she met Emil, whom she married in 1944. They began their married life on the farm but moved into the town of Kipling in 1952. Martha's life focused on her faith, family and friends. She was very talented and skillful and found amazing ways for efficient use of sometimes scarce resources in raising a large family. She was committed to recycling long before the word was even known. She and Emil instilled values of honesty, integrity and an ethic of hard work in all of their children. She had a sharp and inquiring mind, and was always up-to-date on politics and world events. She will be remembered as a beautiful woman of great faith and compassion. A funeral service will be held at First Free Methodist Church, 375 Hochelaga Street West, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, with Reverend Dwight Baron officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Kipling, SK on Thursday, December 17 at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, contributions may be made to World Vision, Canadian Office, #1 World Drive, Mississauga, ON., L5T 2Y4 as tokens of remembrance.
