We the family regret to announce the passing of Margaret Rudderham, on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Center.
Born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of the late George and Ellen (Short) Patey.
She is survived by her sons, Freddie (Gladys) Howell, Point Edward, Joseph (Eleanor) Rudderham, Sydney Mines, Walter (Gwen) Rudderham, Westmount, Andy (Marie) Rudderham, Birch Grove; daughters, Fredericka Hill, Point Edward, Helen (Alonzo) Silliman, Las Vegas, Nevada, Annie (Bill) Borland, Coxheath, Elva White, Point Edward, Kathleen (John) Halme, Vancouver, B.C. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Fredie Howell, and Walter Rudderham Sr.; sisters, Liz Bradley, Mabel Bradley, Maisie Brown, Florence Brown, Roberta MacKenzie and brother, Russell Patey.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
