SNYDER, ELEANOR JEAN
Eleanor J. Snyder, 80, of Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, December 14, 2015. Born in Chapman’s Corner, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Rachel (Crossman) Peacock. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. An avid flower gardener, she loved reading, playing Sudoku and watching the “Price is Right”. She was a member of the Dahlia Society and the Moncton Horticultural Society.
Eleanor will be sadly missed by her daughter, Shelley Snyder (Shaun MacKenzie) of Halifax, NS; sons, Rick (Heather) of Riverview and Darren (Angela) of Halifax, NS; special grandson, Dawson; brother, Arnold of Amherst, NS; sister-in-law, Dorothy Peacock of Georgetown, ON. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eldon Snyder (2008); brothers, Orval and Kenneth.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Eleanor’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
