Age 80, died on Sunday, December 13th, at St. Clare's Hospital, St. John's. Rudy was the first baby boy born in Markland to William and Clotilda (Williams) in 1935. Rudy worked in Labrador and the Canadian Artic for 30 years before returning to Markland to live out his dream of raising horses and farming on his family's land. Rudy leaves his wife of 51 years, Doris (Hopkins). His daughters Donna Samuels and Claudette Ireland; son David Lidstone; six grandchildren and one great-grand daughter. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne Wednesday 10:00 am - 9:30 pm. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm from St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Whitbourne, NL.
