STEEVES, SHIRLEY IRENE
It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Irene Steeves, 85, of Moncton, announce her passing at Forest Dale Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Elvie and Jean (Currie) Wolfe.
She was a former employee of Woolco and Eaton’s. Shirley had many enjoyable memories from the family cottage in Shediac. She also enjoyed playing cards with close friends and her numerous trips to Las Vegas and Florida.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Gerald M. Steeves, and will be sadly missed by her sons, Robert (Diana) of Hillsborough, Brian (Tammey) of Riverview and Brad (Nicole) of Moncton; grandchildren, Sarah-Anne (Andrew), Royce (Sarah), Victoria, Brendan and Jeremy; two great-grandchildren, Austin and William; sisters, June Forgie (Jim) of Darling’s Island and Marjorie Hunter of Riverview; brothers, Robert Wolfe (Kittie) of Ottawa, ON and David Wolfe of Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gerald, she was predeceased by sister, Margaret Allain and brother, Jack Wolfe.
The family wishes to thank the Staff of Forest Dale Home for the care given to Mom during her stay.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, there will be no public visiting hours or funeral service. Private family service to be held. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
