Lloyd Hagen
February 26, 1924 – December 12, 2015
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Lloyd Howard Hagen, late of Hagen, SK at the age of 91 years. Lloyd was the fifth of seven children born to Hans and Alma Hagen. He was born and raised on the family farm near Hagen, SK that was homesteaded by his father in 1903. Lloyd graduated from high school in Hagen and enjoyed playing hockey and baseball which led to him meeting his future wife at the local sports day where she also played ball. Farming was in his blood and he eventually bought the home quarter from his father where he continued to live and run a mixed farming operation with his wife Ida until the age of 88 when a stroke left him physically unable to continue. Lloyd and Ida raised three children, Marlin (Twila), Cameron (Nancy) and Marilee (Ron) Farrow and five grandchildren: Michael and Robyn Hagen and Kody, Jaret and Taylor Farrow. He is also survived by his siblings: Harriet, Helen and Clarence. He was predeceased by his parents Hans and Alma, and siblings: Irene, Rose and Arnold and his loving wife Ida. What a glorious reunion they shall have in heaven. The family would like to send a personal thank you to the staff at Mont St. Joseph for the extra special care they provided Lloyd during his residency there. A Funeral Service for Lloyd will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 – 2:00 pm, Saron Lutheran Church, Hagen, SK with Rev. Dr. Sid Haugen officiating. Interment to follow at the Saron Lutheran Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Saron Lutheran Church, Hagen, SK S0J 1B0, Mont St. Joseph Foundation, 777 28th St. E, Prince Albert, SK S6V 8C2 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1738 Quebec Ave Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
