Florence Naomi Bunn, 93, peacefully passed away on December 13, 2015 at East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, surrounded by her loved ones. She was formerly from Beckwith. Born in Shinimicas, she was the eldest daughter of the late Noel and Laura (Davis) Black.
Florence leaves daughters, Donna (Don) Roberts, Oxford and Cathy (Grant) Wood, Pointe Claire, Quebec; son, Darell (Joanne) Bunn of Beckwith; brother, Archie (Iris) Black, Shinimicas; sister, Jean MacDonald, Stellerton.
Florence was a wonderful, wife, mother and grandmother. She also leaves four grandchildren; Chris Bunn and Tanya Dillman, Rachel (Neil) Wood-Belanger, Sarah Wood and Chris Ravazzano, Caitlin Wood and Will Donato.
She was predeceased by husband Roy of 59 years, son, Gordon of Sunset Home Pugwash, sisters Sybil, Eleanor, Jewel, Elsie and Betty; brothers Eldon and Gordon and long time friend Bernice Collins. She was also predeceased by an infant daughter and an infant granddaughter and several brother in laws.
Florence was a homemaker and an avid quilt maker. She also donated many pairs of knitted mittens to the Christmas for kids in Amherst. She also presented each visitor with a homemade apron. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., (902-667-8777). By wishes of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place in the Shinimicas Cemetery in the spring.
