Elizabeth R. Belyea, 76, of Bromley Avenue, passed away peacefully at ProTem Health Services on Thursday, December 17, 2015. Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Woodbury and Gertrude (Williston) Williston. A graduate of the Saint John School of Nursing, Class of 1960, Elizabeth worked at the Saint John Regional Hospital and retired from the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. She was an active member of St. Philip’s Anglican Church, serving on the Vestry, Choir and ACW.
Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, Paul; children, Susan Belyea (Karen Dubinsky) of Kingston, ON, Michael Belyea (Lisa) of Fredericton and Heather Mulcaster (Julien) of Hamilton, ON; grandchildren, Jordi, Jessica, Alexandra, Michael, Catherine and Maxwell; great-grandchildren, Judah and Jacob; sisters, Margaret Chaisson (Louis) of Saint John and Mary DeMerchant (Scott) of Mactaquac; brothers, David Williston of Halifax, NS and Donald Williston (Gail) of Alberta; several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the Staff of ProTem Health Services for the care and compassion shown to Elizabeth and her family during her stay.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Elizabeth’s life will be held at St. Philip’s Anglican Church (30 Lynch St.) on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm with The Rev’d Roderick Black officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
