FRASER: Betty Jean age 84 of Swift Current, SK passed away on December 14, 2015 in Swift Current, SK. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from Grace United Church with Karen Messer officiating. The eulogy was read by Sydney Fraser. The interment service will be held at the family grave site in Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Betty is survived by her spouse, Don Farquharson of Swift Current; her sons, Art of Lac Pelletier, SK, Ken (Arma) of Delmas, SK, and Dave of Medicine Hat, AB; brother, Bob (Loraine) Houston of Red Deer, AB; daughter-in-law, Laurie Fraser of Ecuador; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Jim Fraser; son, Neil Fraser; parents, James and Clara Houston; and sisters, Eve and Helen. Betty was born in Regina, SK and moved with her family to Swift Current at the age of 8. After she completed grade 12 she worked at the C.P.R. lunch counter, the Health Region, and the smoke shop. She was active in Tops, Eastern Star, and the Red Hat Society. Betty was a special lady and will be missed by many.
