Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders, NL, December 19th, 2015 at the age of 93. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories her son Clayton Payne (Patsy), daughter Eura Curtis (Marcel Maclean), son Keith Payne (Anne Humphries), daughter Patricia Giles (Robert), daughter Karen Bennett (Jan Obroucka), daughter Marilyn Watton (Wayne), and daughter Glenda (Barry). Her grandchildren and spouses: Paula Courage (Craig), Todd Curtis (Penny), David Payne (Katie Greenwood), Christopher Payne (Amanda Baldwin), Sarah Giles (Mark Verge), Susanne Giles (Joe Quigley), Charles Giles, Vicki Cabot (Darcy), Mark Watton (Ruth), Jonathan Watton, Kristopher Watton, Steven Bennett (Tia Isaac), Darren Payne (Tanya), Michelle Blanchard (Colin), and Micheal Payne (Michelle Krasowski). Her great-grandchildren: Emily and Micheal Courage, Donavon Bryne, Jason and Nicole Curtis, Aiden Payne, Hannah Verge, Jacqueline and Angela Bennett, Darian and Riley Payne, Beatrix and Madeline Watton, Bradely and Richard Blanchard, Grace, Jack Payne and Shaden Summerford. Her devoted caregivers: Marilyn Brown and Trudy Bennett and all her special friends. Predeceased by her husband Edmund Payne, sisters Vera Brown and Edith Lang, brother Roy Oates, parents Marjorie and William Oates, sister-in-law Vera Morrison and granddaughter Judy Payne, grandson Jason Curtis and son-in-law Wayne Curtis. Visitations will take place on Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Cow Head from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 2 pm at St. Mary's Anglican Church with Rev. Marlane Leggo. The burial will follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home.
