Wilma "Billie" Marshall

MARSHALL, Wilma “Billie” Beatrice – 98 of Berwick and formerly of Middleton, passed away peacefully Friday, December 18, 2015 at Silver’s Home for Seniors, Berwick. Born in Aylesford, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Margaret (nee West) West. When she first moved to Middleton, she worked at the American House Hotel and later at the Eatons Order Office. She was a supporter of her husband and family and had a terrific sense of humor. A strong sense of values and community were instilled in her family. She was a member of the Middleton Baptist Church, Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Health Auxiliary, Rosemary Chapter IODE and the Macdonald Museum. Billie was an avid bridge player, having played with same group for over 40 years. She also enjoyed playing golf, cross country skiing and skating. Billie is survived by her daughter, Jean (Ken) Langille, Lake George and son, Peter (Joan) Marshall, Ingramport; grandchildren, Heather, Gordon, Stephanie, Matthew and Adam; great grandchildren, Marshall, Michael, Eden, Alex, Emma, Thomas, Abbey, Jacob, Elizabeth, Tucker and Maggie. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; sisters, Norma, Margaret and Edna; brothers, Ralph and George. Cremation has taken place and by request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service was held Wednesday, December 23, 2015, in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, Rev. Danny Smith officiated, a reception followed the service. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Macdonald Museum, Middleton, Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
