1945-2015
Miramichi - David Franklin Dickson, husband of Rose Dickson, of Springwater Drive, Miramichi, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, following a brief illness, at the age of 70.
Born in Chatham, on April 12, 1945, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Ruby (MacNaughton) Dickson. He was a Millwright by trade and a retired employee of Repap N.B. Ltd. He was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi and a member of the former Chatham Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Rosemary Harding; two daughters, Cynthia Anne Hunter (Steven Plaxco), of Nashville, Tenn. USA and Kim Dickson, of Miramichi; two grandchildren, Ashley and Cole; three sisters, Phyllis Thompson, of Halifax, N.S., Karen Morang (Dennis), of Miramichi and Kathy Dickson (Carmella), of Shediac; three brothers, Herbie Dickson (Florence), of Miramichi, Robert Dickson (Wendy), of Kelona, B.C. and Dale Dickson (Janet), of Oshawa, Ont.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Marven Dickson.
By request there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date, in the spring.
