LIRETTE, ALBERT
Albert Lirette, 80, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Friday, December 25, 2015. Born in Baie St. Anne, he was the son of the late Albert and Berta (McIntyre) Lirette.
Albert was a retired furniture maker with Steiff Furniture. He enjoyed doing oil paintings, was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan, enjoyed dancing, playing music and spending time with his family.
Albert will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Georgina (Duplessis) Lirette of Moncton; son, Eugene Lirette (Bonita Carll) of Moncton; daughters, Christine Lirette (Thomas Bierbach) and Angela Godfrey (Jason), both of Moncton; grandchildren, Brian and Brooke Lirette; brother, Willie Lirette of Dieppe; sisters, Donilla Manuel, Exèline Martin, Jeanine Mazerolle, all of Baie Saint Anne and Elda Baceda of Niagara Falls, ON; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A gathering to celebrate and share memories of Albert’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Reception Centre, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday, December 30, 2105 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
