The death occurred peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the home of her son, of Mary "Gladys" Murphy of Foxley River, in her 103rd year, wife of the late Oswald Murphy.
Born August 20, 1913 at Goff's Bridge. Daughter of the late Holson and Celia (Corcoran) Goff.
Cherished mother to Marie (Kevin) Walsh, Charlottetown; Theresa (Ron) Arsenault, Toronto, ON; Leo (Mumtaz), Ottawa, ON; and Keith, Foxley River. Loving grammy to Vicki Arsenault (John Caldarozi), London, ON; Melanie Arsenault, Toronto, ON; Melissa Walsh (Bruce Keus), Stratford; and Ted Walsh, Saskatoon. Great-Nanna to Luke, Jared and Rheannan Caldarozi; Alexander and Aliyh Keus; Finn and Claire Walsh. Dear sister to Marie Greenan, Charlottetown. Gladys will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews who she always kept in touch with, and showed an interest in their lives.
Predeceased by her parents; husband; sons, Gerald, Philip (in infancy); brothers and sisters, Miriam (Frank) Bulger, Eulalia (Joe) Estey, Daria (Willis) Bulger; brothers-in-law, Fred Greenan, Clarence (Ethel) Murphy.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with visiting hours on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and until Thursday at 10 a.m., then to St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church, Foxley River for funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Members of the Foxley River CWL will hold a prayer service for their late member at 1:30 p.m Wednesday before visitation.
