Passed peacefully at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Eleanor (Morrissey), special lifelong friend and companion Elizabeth Kearsey (nee Murphy), daughter Helen Phillips, Elizabeth's son James Kearsey, brothers, Charles, Dan, Bern, Jack and Peter, sister Mary, son-in-law John E. Thompson and grandson Keith Thompson. Leaving to mourn three daughters Marie Thompson, Sheila Wiseman, Patricia Whalen, Bill's extended family, Wally (Carol), Rick (Bev), Frank (Patricia), Ed (Elaine), Tony (Michelle), Rodney (Karen), Patricia Martin (Brian), Deborah Kearsey (Nick), Linda Ryall (Jim), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren whom loved him dearly, and a large circle of extend family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank to the staff of St. Patrick's Mercy Home for their care and love to Bill for the pass seven years. Your kindness and love for Bill will never be forgotten. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, Freshwater Rd., Thursday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. A service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
