Mrs. Violet Barrett of Bay Roberts passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. Mrs. Barrett was 95 years old. She leaves to mourn her loving family: Sons: Claude (Gladys) Barrett & Kevin (Linda) Barrett; Daughter: Evelyn Hussey; Grandchildren: Ian (Roxanne) Barrett, Lori (Matt) Bramwell, Megan (Paul) Kane, Gregory Hussey, Blair Barrett & Shelly Barrett; Great Grandchildren: Gabe Bramwell, Luke Bramwell, Joey Bramwell, Andrew Barrett, Kaitlyn Barrett, Kobe Weir, Chloe Kane, William Kane, Calvin Noseworthy, Ruby Noseworthy & Jayden Barrett; Brother: William (Janet) Snow; Sister: Marina (Charlie) Way; Sister-in-Law: Olive Barrett; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family & friends. Predeceased by Husband Arch Barrett; Parents: John & Esther Snow; Son-in-law: Kenneth Hussey; Sisters: Doris (Joe) Hiscock, Mildred (Leonard) Porter & Evelyn Snow; Brother-in-Law: Edward Barrett; Sisters-in-law: Eva (Frank) Greenland & Mary (Gerald) Dawe. The funeral service will be held 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from St. Matthew's Anglican Church & Cemetery, Coley's Point. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, L.T.STICK DRIVE, BAY ROBERTS, on Saturday 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon.
