ROBICHEAU, John Leander “Junior” – age 48, Yarmouth, passed away suddenly while lobster fishing on Monday, January 4, 2016. Born in Yarmouth on August 15, 1967, he was a son of John L. Robicheau Sr. and Leona (Leaman) Clements-Brittain. He worked as a lobster fisherman, having also worked with MacKenzie Security as a stevedore. In his spare time, when he wasn’t busy cheering for the Montreal Canadiens, he loved deer hunting, fishing and just spending time outdoors. Junior will also be remembered as a jokester and a man with a big heart. Aside from his parents, John and Leona, he is survived by his wife, Suzanna M. (Hallett) Robicheau, as well as by his children, Marie Robicheau and Charles (Kristin) Robicheau, both of Yarmouth; step-children, Barbara Hallett and Christopher Hallett, both of Yarmouth; grandchildren, Madison and Mason. Also surviving is his first wife and the mother of his children, Sharon Comeau, as well as sisters, Pauline (John) Upton, Carleton; Liza Blooi, Hebron; Beverley (Corey) Smith, Wedgeport; a half-brother, Cory Robicheau, a step-brother, Jason (April) Rodgerson and a step-sister, Nicole Rodgerson, all of Yarmouth. Visitation took place from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where the funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, Rev. Mr. Stephen Bourque officiated. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in Junior’s memory may be made towards funeral expenses.
