The family of Mary Jane (Chiasson) Leaver is saddened to inform of her passing on Dec. 17, 2015. Mary passed at her care home, Laurel Place, in Surrey, B.C., surrounded by those grandchildren who were able to be by her side.
Born in Cheticamp, N.S. on April 20, 1929, she was predeceased by her parents, William and Helene (Leblanc) Chiasson; her brother, William Joseph Chiasson and sister, Georgina (Chiassion) Oliver and her two daughters, Thelma and Patricia. She is survived by her grandchildren, Richard McMullen, Duane Johnson, Shauntel McMullen, Korek McMullen, Tammy Taylor, Trevor Johnson and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Gram was a beloved lady who always wanted the best for her family. She was loved by all who knew her.
She had the heartache of her two daughters passing before her and stood through it, bless her soul. Hopefully you are with Patricia, Thelma, Willie Joe and Georgina now. Please know how much we all loved her and will miss her greatly.
