WILLISTON, STEPHEN B.
Stephen Bruce Williston, 67, of Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away at home on Friday, January 8, 2016, after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Leland and Charlotte (Newton) Williston.
He was a caring and fun-loving husband, father and grandfather “Bamp”. He was a long-time member of Highfield Baptist Church who loved and served his Lord Jesus Christ. He was an avid Detroit fan and he loved to participate in sports, games, trivia, bowling and spending time with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Janet (Trites) Williston, his children: Jolene MacDonald, her daughter, Kaylee MacDonald; Timna Briggs (Robert), their children, Evan, Maisie and Lana; Adam Williston (Isabelle), their sons, Levi, Francis and Enric. His siblings: Frederick Williston (Roberta), Nora Carruthers (John), Ralph Williston (Mary) and David Williston (Sylvia). His mothers-in-law: Wanda Trites and Jewel Murray. His brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Trites and Murray families as well as many nieces and nephews from the Trites, Murray and Williston families.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Vickie (Murray) Williston, his fathers-in-law, Ronald Trites and Douglas Murray and his sister, Pamela Williston.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Stephen’s life will be held at Highfield Baptist Church, 290 St. George St., on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Greg Sparkes and Rev. Dr. Robert Knowles officiating. Reception following the service. Interment to be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Highfield Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Camp Wildwood, Crandall University or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
