MacLellan, George
Mr. husband of Elaine (Peggy) (MacDonald) MacLellan of 63 years of Parkers Ridge, New Brunswick, passed away at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday January 14, 2016, at the age of 82.
Born in Parkers Ridge, NB, he was the son of the late Harold and Florence (Calhoun) MacLellan. He worked 32 years with PNB DOT driving grader and highway supervisor. He spent many years before that doing construction work and driving many pieces of machinery. It’s been said, “He did a good job”. He also was a member of the United Church, Boiestown.
Besides his wife Peggy, he is survived by one daughter; Debbie Carr (Bobby) of Storeytown NB, one son; Billy (Brenda) of Taxis River NB, one sister; Evla Calhoun, one brother; Gene (Carolyn) of Parkers Ridge NB, one sister-in-law; Annie MacLellan, grandchildren; Jeffery MacLellan, (Jodi Gair) and Lisa MacLellan (Lee Banks), great-grandchildren; Matthew, Austen, Austin and Cora, also several nephews and nieces, who all held a special place in his heart.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Hayward, Cleo and George and one brother-in-law, Ralph Calcoun.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Parkers Ridge at a later date.
In memory of George donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Alzheimer’s Society.
