Age 68, of Witless Bay, passed away suddenly at home on January 17, 2016. Predeceased by his father Gus Harrigan and his brother Wilfred. Left to mourn, Fan his loving wife of 47 years, children Dallas (Dave Stoddart) Greenwood, NS, Judy, Dartmouth, NS, Jimmy, Fort McMurray, AB, Linda (Jeff Tee), Burnt Cove, NL, and Bonnie (Charles Mosher) Mayerthorpe, AB. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Quade and Caelan Frampton, Jesse and Sandy Walsh, Sarah and Colin King, Quinton and Erica Tee, and Savanah and Blake Filatre. Dad leaves behind a large circle of friends and nieces and nephews who will miss his good nature and his tormenting especially his best friend Jerry Dinn and his work buddy Jimmy Brown. He also leaves behind his mother Bridie Harrigan, his sister Margie Swain. Dad loved to drive and he often spent many a Sunday with mom "going for a run". He spent much of his career as a driver of heavy equipment, for 13 years with the Witless Bay town council and most recently 14 years with the city of St. John's. He loved trouting and would spend many hours down by lower pond hoping to get the big one. Besides his family, dad loved playing accordion and entertained many other for hours on end. "Play something close to the floor Jimmy". Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Tuesday, January 19, and Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Thursday, January 21 2016 at 10 am from St. Patrick's RC Church Witless Bay. Cremation to follow.
