LANE, NANCY JEAN
With great sorrow we announce the passing of Nancy Jean Lane (Borthwick) (nee Taylor) at the Charlotte County Hospital on January 20, 2016. Nancy was born in Saint John and was the only child of Chester and Marion (Speight) Taylor.
She is survived by one daughter, Sally (Tim) Richard of Pennfield; three sons Stephen, St. George, NB; Tom (Patty), Utopia, NB; and Garth (Delores), Pennfield, NB. She is also survived by one step-daughter Norma (Pete) Higgins, Calais, Maine. Nancy leaves behind grandchildren Tyler and Kendra, Lindsay and Andrew, Raelene and Mitchell and Cody and Michael and Hillary and Dakin, two great-grandchildren Marshall and Celina. She leaves behind her three lifelong “sisters” Sandra Mae Barry, Rita Matthews and Barbara Ann Rathburn. She will be missed greatly by her special cousin David Rogers, lifelong friend Billy Wright and her best friend Ora McCarthy.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George (755-3533) with visitation on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The funeral service will be starting following visitation at 4:00 pm. There will be a celebration of Nancy’s life at the St. George Masonic Hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers and in honour of Nancy’s love of animals, the family is requesting donations be made to the Charlotte County SPCA.
