It is with profound sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my beloved son, Scott Alexander Fisher, age 27.
Born in Glace Bay on July 25, 1988, Scott is survived by his mother, Roberta Fisher (John); father, Alex Detcheverry (Wendy); children, Keaton, Ciara and their loving mother, Jennifer Boutilier; sisters, Emma Fisher, Brooklyn Detcheverry; brothers, Alex Detcheverry; Ethan Metcalfe; grandfather, Clifford (Anna) Detcheverry. He is also survived by his uncle, Jamie and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends; also by a special friend, Lori Metcalfe.
Scott formerly worked at Stream, he was happiest spending time with his children, family and friends. He enjoyed football, playing video games and watching movies.
Scott was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Edna (Forbes), James Fisher; paternal grandmother, Sandra Detcheverry; and uncle, Kyte Detcheverry.
There will be a private family visitation. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay, with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating.
