The family of Flora Evelyn Higdon of South Dildo are sad to announce the passing of their dearly loved mother who passed away peacefully Feb 3, 2016 surrounded by her family, at the Eastern Health long term care facility in St.John's. Predeceased by her husband John Charles Higdon, parents Soloman and Philipina Reid Of South Dildo and great grandson Anthony John Vokey, sisters Edna Malgeri Lucy Stevens and brother Herald Reid. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, survived by her sister Emmie Burns of New Hampshire. Children Edna Perosino (Richard) Of New Hampshire, Denny Higdon (Marg) of Blaketown, Randy Higdon (Minnie) of Blaketown, Robert Higdon (Wanda) of Harbour Grace, Christine Rice (Chris) of Torbay. Lisa Somov (Nikolay) of South Dildo. Grandchildren Anthony, Nikki, Jeremy, Chris, Chasity, Amy, Chad, Corinne, Shawn, Dana, Jason, Desiree, Cody, Alexsei And 15 great grandchildren. Also many nieces and nephews and circle of friends. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation Thursday 6:00 - 9:30 pm. Friday 10:00 am - 9:30 pm. Saturday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Funeral will take place on Saturday, Feb 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, Blaketown. Interment to follow at the Jehovah's Witness Cemetery, New Harbour.
