Jean Cormier

CORMIER, JEAN MARION
November 27, 1948 - February 8, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce that Jean Marion Cormier, 67, of Edgett's Landing, NB, passed away peacefully at home on February 8th, 2016. Jean was born in Moncton on November 27th, 1948; the eldest child of the late Kenneth and Marion (Powell) Murray.
She worked as a Registered Nurse primarily at the Moncton Hospital. It only seems natural that Jean was a nurse as it was in her nature to take care of others when they needed help. She was a member of the St. Mary's Anglican Church and loved her little church. Jean was an avid quilter and was a member of the Quilt Guild. She was also very much into crafts, cross stitching and rug hooking. She cherished her time out in the flower gardens and also in the vegetable garden. Her main priority in life was her family. All of her children held a very special place in her heart. Then her beautiful grand-babies came along and they were definitely her pride and joy. She was a great lady who will be fondly remembered for her sweet smile. She felt blessed to have her family and would want them to know that although she has left us sooner than we could possibly have been prepared for, she is at peace and she will remain with us always.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Len of Edgett's Landing, NB; her treasured children, Jason (Shana) of Lincoln, NB; Shannon of Sherwood Park, AB, Jonathan (Kelly) of Lincoln, NB; Sara of Leduc, AB; James of Edmonton, AB and Justin (Anik) of Legal, AB; her precious grandchildren, Nathan, Dyson, Alexandra, Gabriella, Maria, Audrey, Declan, Michael, Morgan, Sawyer, Elias and Jex; sisters and brothers, Jim Murray (D'Arcy) of Amherst, NS, Brian Murray (Edie) of Annapolis Valley, NS, Betty Callaghan (Ron) Charlottetown, PE, Sharon Connors (Charlie) of Scoudouc, Rae Murray, David Murray, Carl Murray all of Dawson Settlement and Doug Murray (Vicki) of Dartmouth, NS. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, February 14th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. The celebration of her life will be held at the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Hillsborough on Monday, February 15th, 2016 at 2:00 pm with the Venerable Brent Ham, Rev. Roderick Black and Rev. Douglas Painter residing over the service. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Hillsborough Legion after the service for further sharing of memories and refreshments. Interment will be in the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton at a later date.
For those who wish donations in Jean's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H-3K2 734-2780
