It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our mother Claire Penney on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at the Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Christine (MacLeod) Ling.
In life, Claire enjoyed many things such as music, dancing and gardening.
Claire is survived by her children, Wally (Rose), Colleen, Alexis, Janet (Greg) and Dan (Evelyn); brothers, Tom (Dorothy) and Raymond as well as grandchildren Tara, Jennifer, Gavin, Egan and Rebecca.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Walter; sister Dorothy and brothers, Malcie, Bernie and Jimmie.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service and burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
