1931-2016
Viola Breau, 84, of Moncton passed away on Friday February 19, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont CHU. Born on March 9, 1931 in Notre-Dame, she was the daughter of the late Fidèle and Yvonne (LeBlanc) Melanson.
She is survived by her nine children: Georges (Dorine) of Miramichi, Yvonne Vautour (Richard) of Grand-Barachois and Robert of Fredericton, Denise Melanson (Donald) of Dieppe, Michel, Edmond, Francis (Lidia) and Roland, all of Moncton, Marc (Barb) of Scoudouc; two sisters: Claudette LeBlanc (Donald) and Berthe Melanson, both of St-Antoine; two brothers: Zéphir of St-Antoine and Alcide of Shediac; three step-brothers: Paul (Bernice), Vincent and Roger, all of St-Damien; eight grandchildren: Richard, Guy, Pierre, Janice, Daniel, Lynn, Nicole and Natalie; five great-grandchildren: Jessica, Erika, Ella, Stone and Audrey; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her step-mother, Imelda Belliveau; she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence (2010); two daughters: Janice and infant Janice; one sister, Jeannine, and one brother, Raoul.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Moncton on Monday February 22 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Viola, a contribution to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the St-Vincent-de-Paul would be appreciated.
