The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, of Joseph (Joe Paul) Gaudet of Tignish and formerly of St. Louis, aged 88 years. Husband of the late Mary (LeClair) Gaudet. He was born in St. Louis on Nov. 17, 1927, the son of the late Paul and Annie Gaudet. Dear father of Wayne (Mary-Jo), Coles Island, N.B.; Raymond (Beverly), Cornwall, P.E.I.; Ronnie (Paulette), Nail Pond, P.E.I.; and Theresa (Stephen) Wood, Saint John, N.B. Loving grandfather to nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Margurite (Earl) Grant and Doris Arsenault. He was predeceased by parents Paul and Annie, daughter Barbara, brothers Raymond and Philip, and sisters Doris and Ozelie. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, with funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Western Hospital Palliative Care or to your choice would be greatly appreciated.
