Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer at the L.A. Miller Center, Palliative Care Unit. Dorcas Alma Rowe of Thornlea. Predeceased by loving husband Roland, daughter Rose Marie McCarthy, parents Joseph and Emma Thorne, parents-in-law Charles and Elsie Rowe, brothers Harry, Sidney and Edmund and special aunt Dorcas Smith. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, children Ellwood (Christine), Margaret Pippy (Frank), Derek (Maxine) and Patricia Emma, grandchildren Jason Rowe (Stephanie), Jeff Rowe, Roland McCarthy (Krissy), Scott McCarthy (Julie), Jeanette Pilgrim (Darren), step-granddaughter Lisa Warren (Rob). great-grandchildren, Riley, Kailey, Emily and Ethan Rowe, Logan, Tyler and Ethan McCarthy, step-great-grandchildren Brandi and Robbie Warren, son-in-law Cecil McCarthy, special sister Minnie Thorne, brothers Eric (Phoebe), Bill (Ethel), Tom (Marjorie), sisters-in-law Rose Thorne, Ruby Thorne and Minnie Thorne, also a large circle of family and friends.
