CORMIER, MARIE LUCILLE
April 7, 1931 - February 21, 2016
Marie Lucille Cormier of Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 21, 2016. Born in Cormier Cove, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Léa (née Léger) Gaudet.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Linda (Vern) Maillet of Moncton and her sons, Raymond (Pauline) of Dieppe, Doug (Ginette Breau) of Moncton, Bob (Thérèse) of Moncton, and Donald (Janice) of Dieppe; brother Leo (Aurelia) Gaudet of Memramcook; friend Roger Bourque and by former daughter-in-law, Annette Cormier. Marie will also be missed by her ten grandchildren Chantal, Mathieu, Nicole, Sophie, Stéphanie, Isabelle, Marcel, Luc, Natalie, Justin; seven great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Marissa, Madison, Emma, Austin, Jacob, and Caleb; as well as five step-children, Irène, Thérèse, late Leonard, Marcel, late Annette; four step-grandchildren, Michel, Nicole, Christine and Chantal.
She was predeceased by her husband Aurele Cormier, friend Albert Robichaud; sisters, Léola (Gervais) LeBlanc and Marie.
Marie was a cashier at Deluxe Mountain Road for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shediac Legion.
The family would like to thank the Extra Mural nursing team and Dr. Alison Power for the care and compassion shown to Marie.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Notre-Dame-de-Grace Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
