SEELEY, EVA E. (LADDS)
The passing of Eva Esther (Ladds) Seeley occurred Monday, February 22, 2016 at York Care Centre, Fredericton at the age of 89. Eva was born in Lower Maugerville, NB on March 30, 1926, a daughter of the late Alexander Fred and Freda Mildred (Thorne) Ladds.
Eva was a member of the Upper Maugerville United Baptist Church and was a Life Member of the Baptist Women’s Missionary Society and the Women’s Institute.
She is survived by her daughters, Elsie Ladds (James Sullivan) of Montreal and Christine Ladds of Maugerville; a son Vernon Ladds (Constance) of Lincoln, NB; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother Bert Ladds (Helen) of Maugerville; a sister, Shirley Sweeney of Fredericton; nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents and first husband Orlo Foster Ladds; second husband Robert R. Seeley, Eva is predeceased by her daughter Dora Ladds-Black; brother Cecil Ladds and William Ladds; a sister Mary Ladds; step-father Hobson Bartlett; son-in-law Robert Duncan and sister-in-law Carol Ladds.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton with visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home on Friday February 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will be held at the Maugerville Baptist Cemetery in the spring.
