After a short battle with cancer he left this world to go onto the next.
'Doc' was born on Aug. 8, 1952 in Alder Point, Nova Scotia, and was predeceased by his mother Stella May Payne and by his father Lloyd David O’Toole.
Loving husband of 44 years to his beloved wife Donna (Whyte) world’s greatest father who was always so proud of his four children, Jane Magee (Curt) of St. Catharines, Sandi Lanthier (Sylvain) of Guelph, Jamie Scirto (Stephen) of Snyder, NY and Matthew O’Toole (Tara) of Welland. Amazing grandfather to his grandbabies Sam, Jack, Lily, Stephen and Sullivan. Known to them as 'Papa', they will miss him dearly, he will forever be in their hearts. He will be dearly missed by his two brothers Paul (Elaine) and Raymond (Sharon).
Cliff was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, father in-law, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He will be greatly missed by so many people. He was a fun loving man who was always joking around, enjoyed playing his guitar and singing while cracking open a cold one. He loved road trips to anywhere with his wife. He lived his life exactly the way he wanted to, all the while he made sure his family was happy and taken care of. He was a hard worker and he gave 100% to everything he did. May you be at peace now and enjoy the party up there!
Cremation will take place. A celebration of life will take place at Butler Funereal Home, 424 Niagara St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a service to follow at 10:30 a.m.
