It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan M. Vey announce her passing on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Elaine Vey, St. John's, Cathy Vey (Mandeep Panesar), New Minas, NS and Karen Vey (Andre Carriere), Montreal, QUE; grandchildren: Adam (Ashley) Waterman, Matthew Waterman, Christine Carriere and Robyn Panesar; one great-grandson Gavin Waterman; sisters and brothers: Malvena Goodyear, Leslie "Sam" (Louise) Park, Cavelle Kerwin, Roland Park (Ivy Cassell), David Park (Ruth Dwyer), Roy (Florence) Park, Harry (Doris) Park, Ruby (Randell) Ball, Ena (Don) Tham and Judy Park (Diane Poletto; sisters-in-law: Winnifred Wall, Marie Vey and Evelyn Vey; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Warren, parents: Charles and Pearl Park, brothers: Richard Park (infant), Richard (Olga) Park and Ray (Mary) Park, sisters: Rowena Chaulk and Alice Park, brothers-in-law: Gus Kerwin, Ronald Goodyear, Harry Vey and Vernon Vey, sister-in-law Audrey Park. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 2 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
