WEIGUM, HELEN BERNICE
It is with sadness that the family of Helen Bernice Weigum announces her death at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Helen was born on February 19, 1929 in Moncton, New Brunswick to the late Edward and Elsie Cameron, and was the wife of Eugene R. Weigum for 59 years.
Helen enjoyed spending time in her garden, admiring the flowers and scenery in her backyard. She enjoyed cooking large meals for her family, and would often experiment with recipes, but only served the best. She started her career as an x-ray technician, a job that she was very proud of. She spent time serving on the Board of Directors of the Oromocto Public Hospital and in her later years, Helen worked for the Town of Oromocto until her retirement.
She will be remembered in the hearts of her husband, Eugene "Gene" Weigum; children, Bonnie Penner of Calgary, AB, Peter (Debbie) of Calgary, AB, David (Denise) of Fredericton, NB, and Becky Milburn (Mike) of Upper Kingsclear, NB; grandchildren, Michelle, Charlie, Heather, Hilary, Caroline, Madelyn, Natalie, Emily, Cameron and Brandon; great granddaughter, Shay; and brother, Kenneth Cameron (Paula) of Moncton, NB.
Helen was predeceased by her parents.
A visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 1:00 until 4:00 pm. There will be no service by request of the family.
