SULLIVAN, EILEEN
The Sullivan family would like to announce the passing of our Mother, Eileen (Barton) Sullivan at Rocmaura Nursing Home on March 4, 2016 in her 95th year.
Mom was born in Marysville, NB to the late Edmund and Pearl (Rutledge) Barton in September of 1921, one of three children and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mom married Leo J. Sullivan in August of 1941 at St. Peters Church in Saint John and had 63 wonderful years together until Leo’s passing in August of 2004. Leo and Eileen enjoyed their later years living in Bayswater, on the Kingston Peninsula, as well as Hillcrest Village on Manawagonish Road.
Along with her husband, Eileen was predeceased by her son Jerry, and her brothers; Howard and Leslie. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Gregorsky of Ottawa, ON, and sons; Greg and Billy Sullivan, both of Saint John, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Peter’s Catholic Church (50 Clarendon Street) on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
