WILLIAMS, DORIS IRENE
Doris Irene Williams, 92, Moncton, and formerly of Grandview Drive, with her loving family by her side, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Cherryfield, she was the daughter of the late T. Arthur and Ida (Morton) Bears.
Doris was a member of the Moncton Gospel Hall, was a former proof reader with the Times & Transcript and was a top salesperson with Avon for over 30 years. She was the caregiver of the family, providing a home for anyone that needed it, enjoyed entertaining her friends and was a baker extraordinaire; but first and foremost, was her love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris will be sadly missed by her husband of 72 years, Ronald “Ron” Williams; daughter, Cathy Eatmon (Raymond) of Saint John; son, Wayne Williams (Marie-Hélène Alcaraz) of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Shawnda Eatmon-Powell (Mike), Kelly Eatmon-Cole (Tim), Keith Williams (Michelle), Jean-François Lavallée (Katharine) and Shane Williams (Charlene); six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Mary and Ida and brother, Reuben.
The family would like to thank the Staff and residents at the Moncton Residence and the doctors and nurses at The Moncton Hospital for the care and compassion given to Doris and her family.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate the life of Doris will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
