Bernard Maloney of Bay Bulls, born December 4, 1954. Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Leonard A. Miller Center on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Predeceased by his parents Stan and Agnes Maloney; sister Catherine Power, brother Arthur Maloney and nephew Dale Maloney. He leaves to mourn his sisters: Mary Maloney, Gertrude Colbert and Elizabeth Chaytor; as well as, a large number of nieces and nephews. Also leaving to mourn, his guardian angel for the last number of months Chris Ryan,a sincere and heartfelt thank you Chris from the family. His lifelong friends: Lindsay Maloney who flew home from Toronto to say good-bye, it meant so much to Bernard; Keith Maloney; Jimmy and Ann Marie Williams, Kenny Glynn and Vickie Walsh. At Bernard's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Tuesday March 8 from 4-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul R.C. Church, Bay Bulls on Wednesday, March 9 at 1 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta R.C. Cemetery, Bay Bulls. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernard's memory to the Newfoundland and Labrador Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit at the Leonard A. Miller Center. The Family would like to thank doctors, nurses and staff at 4 West, St. Clare's Mercy Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Center for your kindness and compassion in caring for Bernard.
