Michaud, Lois Marjorie
Following a courageous battle with cancer, Lois Marjorie Michaud of Fredericton passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on March 5, 2016.
Lois was born in Tilley, NB on October 9, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Laura (Johnston) LaFrance. Lois leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years Henry Michaud; her daughter June Duthie (Tim Hagerman) of Fredericton; her sons Dwayne Michaud (Wendy) of Fredericton, Floyd Michaud (Jackie) of Fredericton, Glenn Michaud (Jody) of Red Deer, AB; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; her sister Rose Michaud of Tilley, Thomas LaFrance and Willard LaFrance, both of Tilley.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters Vida LaFrance and Tammy Moore; her grandsons Stephen and Eric Duthie.
Lois moved to Fredericton in April 1965. She worked at the Victoria Public Hospital until 1976. After the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital opened, she worked there until the end of 1994 when she retired.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday 1 to 3 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 3 pm from the funeral home chapel. Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Tilley, NB at a later date.
