The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, March 6, 2016, of Lorne Compton, of St. Eleanors, aged 79 years. Born in St. Eleanors, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Frances (Muttart) Compton. Survived by his sons J.R. Compton and Gerald (Marie) Caseley; his grandchildren; sisters and brothers Eileen (Maurice) Claerhout, Ivan (Phyllis), Shirley (Robert) Gallant, Blair (Cecile Ellis), Marjorie (Jim) Montgomery, Helen Compton, and Keir (Gertrude) Compton. Predeceased by brothers Wendell and Stanley Compton. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, St. Eleanors.
