Steve Pippus of Moose Jaw passed away March 6, 2016. Steve was born in Davidson, SK on March 12, 1948, to Matilda (Rausch) and Roy Pippus. Steve was a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars. His garage at home, and later his shop on Athabasca St. E., were always open to anyone. Steve started Pippus Construction in 1979, owned his own shop, and worked at Central Taxi/Towing until his passing. He may have been small in stature, but he was big in personality and “wisdom”, which he was more than happy to share with anyone who would sit and listen. Predeceased by his parents; brothers Lloyd, Dale and Jerry; and sister Shirley Woods, Steve is survived by his children: Tim (Sara) Pippus, Katelyn and Megan; Kurt (Tracy) Pippus, Matthew, Connor, and Emily; Debbie (Andrew) Messner, special niece Cheryl Hudson; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and his special buddies. The Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall on Thursday March 10, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:30 pm. Memorialization will take place at a later date.
