LeFAVE, Gerald Edmund – 69, Tusket, Yarmouth Co., died March 6, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Tusket he was the son of the late Edmund and Dorothy LeFave. He worked at I.M.O. Fisheries, Yarmouth for a number of years and retired from Aberdeen Paving. He loved yard-saleing and working in his shed building bird houses and feeders. Surviving are his wife, Carol (Messenger) LeFave; former wife, Helen Durkee; sons, Jerry (Linda) Morton and Gerald (Noreen) LeFave, both of Yarmouth; daughters, Lorna (Darren) Fitzgerald and Rhonda LeFave, both of Yarmouth; step-sons, Terry, Brian and Paul Messenger; Jody and Paul LaPrieur; Darren Manuel; step-daughters, Michelle (Robert) Gaudet, Yarmouth; Belinda (LaPrieur), Yarmouth; 17 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a brother, Arthur (Donna) LeFave and a sister, Eileen (Harold) LeFave, both of Tusket; several nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his second wife, Dorothy; sisters, Rosalie (Élizée d’Entremont), Genevieve (Paul Amirault) and a brother, Paul LeFave (Carol Walker). In accordance with Gerald’s wishes there was no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Gerald may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
