It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Joseph ‘Joe’ Camille LeBlanc, 82, of Moncton on Thursday March 10, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born August 14, 1933 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Georges and Elmire (Allain) LeBlanc.
He was retired from DND Supply Depot No.5 with 39 years of service. Joe also did many years of volunteering with various Food Banks in Greater Moncton, and was a life member and 3rd degree member with the Knights of Columbus Council 6468. Joe was also devoted fan of the Montreal Canadiens.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Madeleine née Melanson; five children: Maurice, Claude, Lucille and Louise (Frank) all of Moncton, and Danny of Montréal; a grandson, Julien of Vancouver; a sister, Maria Hébert (Émile) of Moncton; two brothers: Gerry (Marina) of Moncton, and Eddy (Pauline) of Notre-Dame; many nieces and nephews.
Joe is predeceased by an infant son, Gilles; four brothers: Yvon, Léo, Lionel, and Blair; two sisters: Stella and Rita.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900).
Visiting hours Monday from 7 to 9 pm, and Tuesday from 10 am until time of departure (10:45).
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton on Tuesday March 15, 2015 at 11 am.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
In memory of Joseph, a contribution to Food Bank Alimentaire would be appreciated.
