WADE, WILLIAM
William Lawrence Arthur Wade, 89, of Petitcodiac passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Petitcodiac, he was the son of the late Leverett and Maude (Ogilvie) Wade.
Bill owned and operated Wade's Service Station & Restaurant and he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #31. He liked to work on small engines such as lawnmowers and chainsaws, and in his early years he enjoyed hunting.
He is survived and sadly missed by his children Bob Brewer (Sandra) of Burtts Corner, Larry Wade (Darlene) of Petitcodiac, Darlene Brown (John) of Petitcodiac and Diane Dorey (Bob) of Windsor, ON; close and special friend Inez Beney of St. Stephen; grandchildren Trevor Wade, Rene Wade, Travis McCully and Brittany McCully; eleven great-grandchildren; brother Gerald Wade (Donna) of Miramichi; the mother of his children Alta and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Monday, March 14 from 7 to 9 pm with a Legion service at 6:45, and from where the funeral will be held Tuesday, March 15 at 1 pm with Rev. Chris Hayes officiating. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
