ROBB, CHRISTINE
August 4, 1952 – March 13, 2016
Chris passed away at the Moncton Hospital, with her family by her side. Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of Janet Robb and the late Edward (Ted) Robb.
Chris lived most of her life in Moncton, graduating from Harrison Trimble High School. She continued her education, receiving a diploma in Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie University, a Bachelor of Arts from Université de Moncton and a Masters of Education from Dalhousie University. Chris worked for the Province of New Brunswick Department of Health, Dalhousie University Faculty of Dentistry and continued to work on a part time basis in private practice. As a past president of the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association, she was instrumental in elevating the professional status of the Dental Hygiene Program from a diploma to a degree program. Chris enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, opening her home to many for BHF reunion barbecues, her famous family “sausage soirée” and gourmet club gatherings. She loved spending time with her “lunch bunch”, her weekly movie nights and travel. She was very devoted to her 10 nieces and nephews, sharing in every celebration and showing interest in all they were involved in. Chris loved her cat Zuza, spending time in her garden and her daily visits from her adopted backyard furry and feathered friends. Her steadfast friendship is evidenced by her lasting relationships. She remained friends with so many people from as far back as her early teens.
