Dianna Marlene Hendrickson

Dianna Marlene (nee Crawford) Hendrickson passed away peacefully in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Wednesday March 16, 2016 at the age of 69. Dianna was born in Canwood, SK later moving to Prince Albert, SK. She married her husband Lyle Hendrickson in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan March 30, 1963. Together, their relationship of 51 years was devoted to each other and their family. Dianna worked in retail for a number of years before starting her job in housekeeping at the Victoria Union Hospital in Prince Albert. In 1992 they moved to Calgary, Alberta for a short time and then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where they lived the remainder of their life. Dianna started her own business at this time cleaning homes and office buildings. She continued this work until she was no longer able to work after her two illnesses with cancer. Dianna suffered with lung cancer in 1994 and brain cancer in 1995, but having the strength that she did, she beat the odds and was able to enjoy spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandson. Dianna was a loving mother to their daughter Shelley (Kevin) Eggum and son Don (Jackie) Hendrickson. She is survived by her brother Danny (Michelle Morley) Crawford, her sister Debbie Sack, her sister-in-law Linda Howard, her grandchildren: Kimberly (Michael) Fuller, Travis (Brittany Achter) Eggum, Ashley Eggum, Leesa Eggum, Austin Chappell, Taylor Chappell, Michael Hendrickson and Victoria Hendrickson, her great-grandson Henry Fuller, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dianna will long be remembered for her ambition, strength and her love of life. Family was the most important part of her life and she was an inspiration to us all. Dianna is predeceased by her husband Lyle Hendrickson, her parents Herbert and Inga Crawford, her sister Donna Crawford, her brother Robert Crawford, her father-in-law John Hendrickson, her mother-in-law Lena Hendrickson, her brother-in-law Roy Hendrickson and her daughter-in-law Treanne Hendrickson. The family expresses their thankfulness for the loving care Dianna received from all of the staff at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home for the last six years. Many of the staff became like family to Dianna, she would often call them "the kids". The family invites you to join them in celebration of Dianna's life on Tuesday March 22, 2016 at 3:30 PM at the Acadia-McKague's Funeral Center: 915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, SK. Please join the family for coffee and dainties following the service.
